Going viral is not a strategy — but consistently making clips that earn watch time is. The artists breaking through in 2026 share a few habits worth copying.

1. Lead with the hook, not the intro

The strongest 8 seconds of your song should be the first 8 seconds of every clip. If your hook lives at 0:45, edit a TikTok-first version that opens with it.

2. Activate your sound

Make sure your release is delivered to TikTok and Reels through your distributor (Verse Tune handles this automatically). Then post 3–5 original videos using the official sound so creators have something to remix.

3. Seed creator collaborations

  • Find 10 micro-creators (10k–100k followers) in your aesthetic
  • DM them with the sound link and a clear concept
  • Offer a small flat fee instead of a percentage
  • Track which creators drove actual saves, not just views

4. Convert views to streams

Every bio should link to a smart link with a pre-save, not just a Spotify URL. The goal is to convert curiosity into a save before the algorithm forgets your face.

"Virality is luck. A repeatable posting system is not."
